I think it made up for all the dark mornings and afternoons, when I have to leave the house before the sun has risen and then travel home again in the dark. This splendid light was worth it.

Sky on fire
I took these pictures on Saturday night, when, for few brief minutes the whole sky looked to be on fire. It was amazing to see.

DeleteA sky lit like this is definitely a brief gift. I remember thinking how much I missed seeing home during daylight in the winter, when I was commuting to my sixth form college. It made the weekends more special though.
