Fancy Camel
I really love this picture.
In 2006 at Easter I went with some friends to Egypt, some of our friends are Egyptian. This photo was taken by my friend Jon while we were riding horses and camels around the pyramids at sunset.

Stockport County
I've never really been into football, but I quite enjoy the community aspect of going to see a live game.
I went with my dad the other week to see our local team after doing a bucket collection fund raiser before the match.
Surprisingly Stockport won! maybe we'll go again

Bright wintery day

Several weeks ago my sweet friend Kathleen and I went on a forest walk on a beautiful sunny but cold day.
I love bright sunshiny days, the brightness makes everything feel better
We walked around a forest that neither of us had ever been to before, so that made it very exciting. We came across a tiny chapel with an old couple inside who were doing the cleaning, they stopped us and invited us in and proceeded to tell us all about the local history of the area. It was a lovely chat but we were both worried about the fact that it was quickly getting dark and we were only half way through our walk
Part of the footpath consisted of a frozen stream so it felt like we were climbing a glacier. The sun set before we finished so we ended our walk in the slightly spooky darkness. I fell asleep on the way home, which, surely is the mark of a good day.

Two
On Friday I had a very cultural day with my lovely friend Kathleen.
We'd put down a visit to the Whitworth Art Gallery as one of our exciting things to do this year.
Its a rather nice gallery but disappointingly there wasn't much open as they were preparing for new displays.
We then headed into the centre of Manchester to eat tea at Tampopo, one of my favourite restaurants, it serves a variety of Asian food so there's a lot of choice.
Then we went to the Royal Exchange Theatre to watch Two, a play by Jim Cartwright.
The exchange theatre is in the round and we had front row, low seats so that we were nearly part of the play. I'd seen both the actors, Justin Moorhouse and Victoria Elliot in plays there before and they are always good. The play is set in a pub with the main characters being the landlord and landlady, the rest of the characters are punters. As there are only two actors they played all the characters which meant impressively quick costume changes and tiny quirks that set the different characters apart.
I felt like I was fully engaging with Manchester

Childhood sweethearts
I can across this very sweet article today, I realise its from several years ago but it is rather lovely.
What amused me the most was this quote
"What struck us was that the little ones were completely on their own and that they had lots of swimming gear with them," said Holger Jureczko, a police spokesman.
I love that they set off on an adventure with their swimming stuff!
