Eurovision

I love Eurovision! I'm a big fan of all things cheesey and fun
I was very serious about going this year to Azerbaijan but as I read a little further into Azerbaijan's political background I felt I couldn't really support the system by giving them my money.
I watched the show this year with my super friend Kath and her brother. We put all the countries into a bowl and picked out papers until we'd divided them all. I had Sweden in my bunch so I won!! We voted for Ireland, Italy and I think France. Stockholm is a slightly easier country for me to spend my money in and as I have a couple of friends there I hope to go next year, we'll see!

Recently

Things I've been up to in April and May according to my camera phone. I just take odd pictures of this and that so its quite interesting to me to look back on.
Action for Sustainable Living event. I don't really know very much about this organisation so I invited myself to an event they were having to celebrate their successes over the past year.

 A visit from my lovely friend Grace, we went to the Royal Exchange to see The Unthanks, while we were waiting for it to start we found a box of dressing up clothes in their education room. A lot of fun was had.

 Entertained myself trying on ridiculous hats and fascitators in Marks and Spencers while waiting around in Manchester for an evening event.
 Preparing for the Manchester Day Parade at Sanctus/ Nexus Cafe, making large books, pencils and giant rats, of course.

Preparations

My Granny is going to be 90 next week. We've got a big party happening this weekend.
I've been cutting and sticking hundreds of photos in preparation.

Cats

We have two cats;
 this is Esmé, she is particularly daft, she also looks rather like she belongs on the end of a witch's broomstick

Dramatic Skies

Back in, I think February I went for a walk with my mum up above a reservoir. We were fairly late setting out and were still far from finished when the clouds descended and we were surrounded by gloom. These pictures were taken I think within an hour, it all changes so much.
We could see the light in the distance slowly shifting over the hills.
Beautiful.
